Hello! I am Esther
Miller. I am one among the Amish residents of the prestigious colony of
Pennsylvania. I am here because of a renowned man: William Penn. He founded
this honorable colony in 1681 when he received a proprietary grant in return
for a loan never paid back to his father.
The Amish are pacifists. We believe strongly in nonviolence, hard work,
simplicity, and humility. We are extremely trustworthy people, as we value this
greatly within our communities. Additionally, I was one of the few thousand who
immigrated to the colonies.
We reside in Lancaster County and the surrounding areas. We arrived from Germany in the 18th century because of religious persecution. I was one of the select few who came in then. Our colony is one of the three that promotes religious freedom. This, in turn, is one of the reasons we are proud to call ourselves Pennsylvanian Amish. We would love to see diversity grow within the boundaries of our colony. Although our colony is large in acreage, we are but a welcoming family at heart. We treat others with utmost respect and compassion. Thus, any newcomer to the colony of Amish Pennsylvania will be welcomed with open arms. We stand for righteousness and religious freedom. Contradicting, we are staunchly against violence, religious persecution, and anything that goes against humanity. Conclusively, we are a peaceful people, and we will welcome all with radiant smiles. |
